Have you ever wondered how picture book characters relax after a stressful storytelling day running up and down, roundabout and through all those pages?
There are plenty of digital children’s book illustrators out there so I wouldn’t worry about that. On the other hand using a pencil is a great way to remind yourself of how you started – and this could present you with new ideas. I don’t think it’s possible to do too much drawing! A pencil and paper make it so easy. And about all those styles that are already ‘occupied?’ It’s not only the style, it’s the IDEAS that really count!
